Reji Nair

Dr. Reji Nair, a physician specializing in nephrology of Indian heritage, has been part of the Orlando Muslim community with his wife and son since 2017. A convert to Islam at 21, Reji’s spiritual journey has taken him across the U.S., learning in diverse Muslim spaces, from intimate zawiyah retreats to Al-Maghrib courses and the Minarah Initiative.

His deep appreciation for sacred knowledge led him to Siraat, where he values access to transformative learning in his own community. Reji believes Ustadh Zaid’s teachings have profoundly shaped his understanding of faith and inspired him to serve.

Outside of board work and medicine, Reji can often be found at Monday Majlis, joyfully reciting nasheed about the Prophet ﷺ and playing the daf (Middle Eastern frame drum). His lived experience as a convert informs his passion for making Siraat a spiritually enriching and welcoming space for all.
