Sofiya Asedrem M.A., a nonprofit professional of Moroccan heritage, brings a wealth of nonprofit and organizational experience to Siraat. She currently serves as Community Manager at a local nonprofit, where she leads a cross-sector initiative creating a more resilient Central Florida.

Sofiya earned her MA in Political Science from the University of Central Florida (SPSIA), where she researched development programs in Morocco. She holds a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University. Sofiya has worked with national and international NGOs on various community development initiatives.

At Siraat, Sofiya introduced the Qur’an Read-a-thon to Orlando — a community initiative designed to inspire deeper connection to the Qur’an as the “rope of Allah” and encourage consistent, meaningful engagement with its message. As a wife and mother of young children, Sofiya is passionate about ensuring Siraat’s programs remain family- and child-friendly, giving parents opportunities for spiritual growth without leaving their children behind. She also contributes her nonprofit expertise to help Siraat grow sustainably and continue serving Central Florida Muslims with excellence, authenticity, and relevance.
