Zaid Khanani

Ustadh Zaid Khanani, M.A., AMFT, a scholar and therapist of Pakistani heritage, serves as Siraat’s Religious Director and Imam. He earned his BA in Islamic Law and Theology and MA in Islamic Law and Legal Theory from Zaytuna College, as well as a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.

Zaid continues his traditional Islamic studies with scholars from Syria, Jordan, Pakistan, and beyond. His accessible teaching style and authentic connection to classical scholarship inspire people of all ages to love their faith.

For many families, Zaid is a role model and mentor — especially to children, who eagerly look up to him and aspire to follow in his path. His leadership anchors Siraat’s vision of combining deep sacred knowledge with compassionate community care.
